It's actually worse than that - the standard legal tactic is the shotgun
approach. Sue everyone involved for infringement - most will worry so much
or have to pay so much before the case is dismissed or dropped that they
wont infringe again. So beware - webmasters, uploaders, and downloaders.
The vultures are there, and they do love to feast.
Watterson and Apple are both known for this kind of vigorous defence.
