Well, alt.rec.... does not alter nor patch the OS. But it is a good idea to
do full backups before using any non final software, especially alt.rec....

Well, it is an alpha release. And it does some funny things. ;-)

Is this error is a -48411, it is an incompatibility with Heap Saver from
Standalone. I am currently working on it.
There is another known bug but I don't exactly know where it comes from.
The Newton hangs after having written a few things.
If you experience this problem, please send the list of the packages you
have. I suspect the conflict comes from SuperNotePad, although I am not
sure at all.
