Two possibilities (although this is from an MP2100, and therefore OS2.1
perspective, so the second approach does not apply to a MP120)
Double tap what you have dragged to the edge, and you will get a copy to
paste, leaving the original on the pasteboard.
This is a OS2.1 only fix: Get Hilite2000 from Byte-Size Software

Of course that requires that you get a OS2.1 machine ;-) but the speed-up
really is worth it.
