| There seems to be a lot of opinions about this, but everything I've read
| recently I thought indicated that CD-RW dye was less stable than that used
| in CD-R.
That's a neat trick, since CD-RW does not use organic dyes. In truth,
there are no solid estimates on CD-RW lifespan (according to the CD-R FAQ).
