latest news on microsofts synch-page is that the alpaca PIM wil implement
the iCal standard, which hopefully, someone will port to newton:

projects from any Office application. The Calendar can display a schedule by
month, week or day. It also includes a Today window, which simultaneously
displays the day's events and tasks. New events can be created quickly, and
meeting requests can be sent to others over e-mail using the iCal standard.
The Calendar can be shared easily with others over the Internet using the
Save Calendar as Web Page feature."
