Might I suggest a basic course in mathematics is what you're really after: -
My company card tells me the shop shuts at 6pm.
It's now 5:15pm.
It takes me 30 minutes to get there.
The difference between 5:15 and 6pm is 45minutes.
I can get there with 15 minutes remaining.
