I found the following post to the list from last year which may be of
value. On checking the Production Magic site, there is a message saying
that teh ShotLogger for Newton application is sold out but a new
development is expected.

Sure. That is if you're working with pro gear and are willing to cough up

SMPTE
timecode. So if your camera can do this and you have some spare change,
you're in luck. The Video Tool Kit for Newton Shareware program will work
if
you set the timecode generator "free run" and to the same time as your
Newton. Of course, the VTK shareware is for video and not film so you'll
have
to fudge the frames on your ins and outs. Hope this helps.
