But isn't that exactly how QuickTime midi works - by playing stored samples
of instruments? It would be great if this sort of thing were available to
the newton, even if, for space or speed considerations, it only had a few
(or one) instruments. Load up a bunch of those teeny tiny 30k midi files
and off you go with a music library in your hand, ready to play. Granted,
it's not exactly dolby 5.1 surround, but it'd just be a neat thing to have.
I guess I'll stop dreaming now. :)
