I found a nifty little utility that does this, called
BatWiz. It has several cool features. One, it turns
the backlight on automatically when it is plugged into
power (and beeps to let you know)Plus is has a little
information window that give you stuff like Heap size
in KB and %, plus, battery strength in volts and %
the email address in the info window is
