NTLK Works or RTF import

Hi,
Is there a way to get the works import/export option to work with new macs
using NCU (mine just tells me that claris xtnd is not installed even though
it obviously is - it probably is a rather late apple works version though)?
Or, is there a nice method of transferring an RTF file to works? X-port does
it one way out of the newton I would like to do this in both directions.
