I have been fighting a battle with this for a while now. Has anyone
successfully been able to use a cellular phone and modem pc card with
their newton?
I have an MP2100, a 3com 3CXM556 cellular modem pc card, and an Ericsson
LX788. After a mad and lengthy search, I was able to purchase the
proper wire to connect the cell phone and the pc card. With the cable
came an upgrade for the firmware on a 3.5 disk. I had to use a win95
laptop to do the upgrade, which said that it completed successfully.
The only thing that does work for this card is a land line phone
connection. The cell portion does not work. Does anyone have any modem
strings I could copy?
By the way, I do have modem modifier and I don't see any special strings
for cell phone usage to copy. Unfortunately, that is what I am after.
