I dealt quite closely with Pretec several years ago
where they supplied us with a bunch of 2mb ram
cards...(I still use one in my 2000) They have always
been "flighty" in their invoicing and data
abilities...They've lost many invoices of the company
I used to work for.
Their engineering department was top-notch! I never
talked to a bunch of highly trained people like the
ones at Pretec... But they never came off as looking
like a company bigger than the 5 individuals I ever
talked to. I find it unfortunate that Pretec has
dropped to the point where an email such as the one
that spawned this had to come down the pike.
I would hate to have to write them off...
But...
