Basically, the keybaord outputs serial data, 9600bps, 8n1. The most
significant bit indicates if it's a key up or key down event; every single
key had a different code. Caps lock is a key just like any other. Also,
on power up, it outputs a string in ASCII, something like "keybaord" or
some such, I forget, it was many years ago that I reverse engineered its
protocols for NewtKey, a keyboard driver for OS 1.x machines.
