NTLK Dynalink 1428QVC doesn't work with MP130?

I've been trying to get this Dynalink 1428QVC PCMCIA card modem to work with my
MP130. The messagepad doesn't recognize it. I have installed Apple Modem
Enabler 1.0.

Am I just out of luck here?
