I don't know about Quickport, but QuickPress works great for
transferring text back and forth from a Mac and Newton Notes. I
haven't been able to locate the authors to pay them for their work,
but it continues to work past the demo period. I didn't find it in a
quick search of unna, but I'd be happy to submit it.
