Info on the eProbe - note, good news at the end of this e-mail...
Here's good info on the use of this probe:
http://www.concord.org/pubs/1997spring/powerandportability.html
Here's the type of probes one can purchase (note some are not cheap):

and here's THE ADAPTER BOX FOR THE NEWTON! [actually Mac serial, but it
supposedly works]

Yep, see below, although I can't (as yet) justify the purchase. I can
see myself saying to my spouse "I need this adapter and sensors (insert
dollar figure here) to check my home-brew's progress or the fish tank's
ammonia content".

You also need a copy of NewtWorks and "Works calculations (Apple)"
installed for eProbe to work, apparently in "landscape mode" only, with
the "buttonbar" shut off (I use "killBB").
Launch "eProbe Calibrate" first (you downloaded this too, right?!) The
eProbe calibrate" has a full, built-in Help Book! I am looking at it
right now on an MP2000U.

I hope I did! Also, the person I spoke to at Vernier
(http://www.vernier.com/legacy/sbi/index.html) intimated that if someone
were to purchase an adapter box - with 30 day money-back guarantee (it's
nice to see that customer sevice hasn't died out) - he'd allow them to
download a copy of eProbe that Vernier has!
