I've had problems with InkSpot in past, perhaps something similar to what you've described here;
I find it will choke unexpectedly on certain articles and drop the connection (or it will have
dropped the connection, since I'm not usally there to watch it), requiring me to reset the
remaining articles on the server as read to get past the problem spot. (It will also occasionally
refuse to delete an article here and there, requiring me to delete the article storage.) But
nothing unusual has happened in the last few days.

I have InkSpot set for a maximum article size of 4K, maximum article store of 500, download
newest articles, I do *not* compress articles, and I do use killfiles.
