Please excuse this periferal inquiry.
I have scoured the web for a firmware update and scanner software that
will run an HSD b&w Scan-X Professional scanner (NeXT). My Umax
VistaScan app. addresses the HSD scanner but returns an error message
that "the driver is old". I am using a Mac7500, OS 8.6, and am SCSI
connected. SCSI Probe returns device info as UC630, v.2.6. BTW, on a
non English siite featuring NeXt information, I thought I saw info
stating that the HSD uses an Umax engine but I may have misunderstood.
Anyway, I can't find that site anymore. Can someone tell me where to
look please. Off list would me fine. Thanks, Roman.
