Thanks but I got it going just by pressing the reset button on the back of

Are you trying to dock to a copy of NCU that has been used on a different
Newton before ? If so, it is likely that the other Newton has a card that
this one does not. Move all old backup files into a fresh subfolder of
your
Backups folder and try again.

Otherwise, is there a card in the 'new' 2000 ?
