[NTLK] accessing folders in scripts

How can one make a script which would open open a certain folder in certain
application ?
The goal is to have a script ( to use with Gesture Launch, or DashBoard)
which would open Notes and choose a folder specified in the script.
I havenšt got a slightest idea how folders are implemented.
For example there is a recent notes button in the Avišs Backdrop , but it
will always open the notes application in the All Notes view.
It would be nice to have a gesture assigned to a script which would open a
view of a particular folder.

Any ideas ?
