Hello,
Woo Lee recently replied to this thread thusly,

I have only one accelerated newt, and according to the software for checking
the clock speed,
runs at 222mhz almost exactly.
But I also have heard that speeds above 220mhz can be troublesome.
I have never had any problems with it whatsoever, (in approx. two+ years)
and am very tempted to purchase another
one or two for my other Newts.
The only thing that is stopping me is the possibility of a SER-001+ board
which would also eliminate the dongle,
be REALLY easy to install, and switch speeds automatically as required.
Here's hoping that this board will see the light of day,
regards,
Eric Byrne
