It's technically possible to connect two serial ports, sound in and sound
out through the interconnect port. It would have formed the heart of a
docking cradle, if one had ever been made. Unfortunately apple pulled the
pin before that ever happened. I have thought about making an all singing,
all dancing interconnect adapter, but I always seem to have something more
important to do....
