  Laurent,

  Thanks for your help. My backup always fails when 'Backing Up Packages' and then 'Connection Stopped Because of Communication Error.(-1)'. Everything else goes through the backup procedure fine until the packages.

  Any suggestions?

  You obviously didn't find the last version. I'll check at the office
  tomorrow and I'll probably be able to send you a copy. Usually, if you quit
  SlowDown, or kill it using TaskManager, it shouldn't slow down your PC
  anymore. If that doesn't work, restart your PC.

  As for your persisting problem, did you notice if the error always happen at
  the same point in the backup? That might reveal some corruption somewhere...
