It might be because "Extras" is currently your backdrop. The backdrop app
won't show up in Extras, so you can't have it on the status bar. The
backdrop is the app that is always opened. I would suggest you get something
like Avi's Backdrop, which would be much more useful and would waste a lot
less heap than Extras. Once you set another application as the backdrop, you
should be able to bring back Extras on the status bar.
