Hello everyone!
I just purchased a UMP2000 a few weeks ago and have been lurking here
since then. I must say this is a wonderful community with some very
strong voices and helpful people :) I have run into a weird problem and
am hoping I can scrape your collective minds for some information.
I purchased a 3Com Etherlink III 3C589D-TP from eBay a couple of week
ago (before I realised i could buy it from www.computer-show.com for
$14) and I just got it today. Upon inserting the card in the newton, I
get an error:

There is a problem with this card (-61001)
=================
It doesn't matter if I insert in either of the two slots. I have already
loaded the 3Com ethernet drivers as well as the other required packages
from NIE 2.0.
Does anyone know whats up? Do I have a lemon on my hands? If so, do I
have any recourse considering I bought it on eBay?
