Are you sure that your ISP uses DHCP with the cable modem? My @Home IPS does
not. I have a static IP address.
Another thing is, some Cable Modem ISP's use DOCSYS to dynamically assign IP
addresses to cable modems, and I don't think that the newton is compatible with
this method.
I would check to see if the ISP uses static IP addresses and input that address
into the Newton's i net prefs.
I have an @Home cable modem, a Newton 2100 and a 3Com 3CXE589DT card and will
try this setup for myself right now........
