Marc-
I haven't used QF with my MAC but I have with my Windows 2000 machine and
its been very simple (in fact I wish NCU worked as well).
First - you Do Not use NCU with QF. You must install the patch to Excel
which then adds a QF menu item to the desktop Excel program. Second, you
must install the QFExchange package to your Newton. Then the Newton and
desktop will exchange data with out any other utilities needed. Just select
the QF button on the desktop Excel program and select the QFExchange button
in QF (Works) and the data should transfer easily.
I'm not aware of any "bugs" but then again, I only started playing with QF
about a month ago.
Hope this helps.
Steven

Subject: [NTLK] Quickfigure wackiness
Over the weekend, I tried and tried and tried !!! $%^%$(*(&#@ !!! to get
a quickfigure spreadsheet off my 2100 onto my desktop G4 running OS9.1.
I tried NCU and the export/connection package/feature that comes with
QF, all to no avail. The spreadsheet doc didn't show up in NCU and the
QF export thing just failed. Does anyone know how best to do this so
that I could work on it in Excel?
Oh, and I got another quick other question while I'm here: Does
Newtworks/QF have a known bug where you try to substitute a new value
for one already in the spreadsheet by entering it on the input line at
the bottom of the screen, hit the little checkmark to the left and then
get a "New ton Error Sorry, a problem has occurred. (214948828)" You
then exit that dialog box, his the "x" to the left of the checkmark
icon, tap an empty cell and then the new value appears for the
substituted value. However, the totals are not updated. What gives? Any
fix? Thanks in advance.
