[NTLK] "Failure to connect" error -- an earlier thread?...

I *think* I recall someone having a problem with an error that sounded like
this, involving getting their Mac talking to their Newt. (If I'm wrong,
sorry. Although this may be of interest to someone on here anyway...)

So, I saw this today on MacFixIt...

It appears that a conflict between Norton Anti-Virus and AppleTalk, once
fixed, has returned. Jules Galagarza writes:

"AppleTalk does not allow me to select any connections (e.g. Remote Only)
except Ethernet. I get a 'failure to connect' error message as the
connection reverts back to Ethernet. When I disable the Norton Auto-Protect
extension I then can select any connection for AppleTalk. This was an issue
with NAV prior 6.0.2. The issue was fixed with the release of 6.0.2. However
it is back with NAV 7.0 and still exists with the 7.0.2 update. The only
work-arounds I know are to either disable NAV or disable the LAN
TunnelBuilder AppleTalk and the NTS PPP AppleTalk extensions."

Hopefully this is of help to someone...

- Eric.
