Well, someone might think this is the perfect Newton case, but it doesn't
work for me. It came with my Newt, so I'll be happy just to let it go for
nothing. OK, maybe not quite nothing. You'll have to cover my postage, and
throw in anything else. ANYTHING. It's up to you what you send me, but if
I get multiple takers, I reserve the right to pick what I think is the
best offer. Postage will be $3.50 for Priority Mail in the US. Of course,
email me with your offers.
So here's what it is: a zippered black nylon Newton 2x00 shell. It has a
generous zippered outside pocket (for cables and whatnot), and a much less
generous inside pocket (for paper or PCMCIA cards). The outside of the
case has a strap that works as a handle, and two metal loops to attach a
shoulder strap. You'll have to supply your own shoulder strap.
The other missing part: Velcro. This case holds Newt in with Velcro, and
my Newt used to have a 2" x 4" velcro strip on the back. I finally got
sick of having Newt stick to stuff outside the case and pulled the Velcro
strip off. So you'll also need to find a Velcro strip with which to attach
your Newton to the case.
I have no idea who manufactured it, but it seems well-made. I just don't
like it much, not being a fan of adhesive and Velcro to keep Newt in its
place. If it had another way to hold Newt, I'd probably be using it.
BONUS: This Newt case comes with a very fine collection of cat hairs. I'll
try to remove most of them, but you might want to take some masking tape
to it after delivery.
I'd feel bad about selling a case without the Velcro for the back of Newt
or with no clue as to its origins, and that's why I'm willing to let it go
for next to nothing. If you can use it, it's yours for the price of
shipping plus anything else you feel like you want to send me.
Fair enough?
Steve
