I was recently browsing a Pocket PC newsgroup and there was a thread where
someone had asked the question:
"Is it possible to get speech recognition for my ipaq?"
There were about 5 respondents saying that this was impossible and that the
processor was not nearly fast enough to support such an application. One
person even listed the minimum requirements of such a feat being an 850 Mhz
Pentium III.
I replied to the thread stating that the Apple Newton PDA made over 5 YEARS
ago did not only the Text-To-Speech but also the "impossible"
Speech-To-Text".
There were no more posts after that.
