Brian,
thanks for such a complete response. Now I got it. I also found the
correct faq. I'll be sending off my Newton to Dr. Newton today or
tomorrow. I got the Heap up by deleting packages but also by installing
Heapsaver. When I connected, my Heap was between 80-105k. I got onto
yahoo, the onion, but when I tried to access my own Web site, which is
huge, the Newton shut down, no surprise there.
so, here are two more questions:
1) Heapsaver worked nicely, it seems. Is it a better program than the
freeze programs, or do the freeze programs work more efficiently, or
can they work in tandem?
2) It would be nice when my Newton comes back to be able to download
sites and read them off line? Does anyone have a recommendation for the
best software to do this?
thanks again to everyone who responded.
Jeff
