Grant, I bought a couple of dongles from a list member in the U.S. for
peanuts, ($10. - thanks Mark...). I had them sent to a cousin in
Detroit to avoid Canada Post's greedy fingers. I was going to retrieve
them at the next family get-together. Thinking he was doing me a big
favour, my cousin sent them pre-paid to me in Toronto, via UPS. When
they got to my door, a c.o.d. from Canada Post was attached demanding
$49.00 for "handling". In this case, I had a plan "B" to fall back
on..I refused the package and it was returned to my cousin where it
awaits me. However, there was a time when a $15. (U.S.) magazine ended
up costing me $60. through Can. Post's extortion procedures.
My question is, how do you get around the bandits at Canada Post?
Regards, Roman [Postage Due] Tarnovetsky ;-)
