I have an ancient copy of PowerPen's PowerBack that I built myself that has
this feature of showing the next meeting. It doesn't do birthdays or day
events, only meetings.
It also has such features as being able to change the owner/worksite, At the
top, it says, "This Newt belongs to:" with the owner showing up under that,
with the ability to change owners/worksites right there. Under that is a
three-line notes area, and under that, on the right, is the owner's address
and phone number. Under that, the current month's calendar, and under that,
the next meeting in dates. Under that, a clock, and under that, battery
stats, volume control, heap, and storage memory. On the bottom left, is an
Apps button, which gives shortcut access to several built-in functions, as
well as a new note, and all items in your extras drawer. It's small, fast,
and simple. I've got it archived somewhere. :-) I have it in two versions.
1. If you tap on the heap, it does a garbage collection, and 2. Auto garbage
collection. I ended up not using that one, because it kept causing awkward
pauses, but that was on a 120. It might be better on a 130, and I've never
seen it on a 2k model. If anybody is interested, please write me off list.
:-)
