I do know that the 32.768 khz clock ( time ) oscillator in the Main Logic
Board of the MP2x00 is calibrated using special factory test software that
only Apple has. Calibration data is stored in FLASH memory.

Over the years, I've read a few reports of people getting their MLB replaced
( for various reasons ) by Apple and now having clocks run fast or slow.

Has your unit been sent in to Apple for MLB replacement recently ?

It sounds like the Apple bench techs are supplied with untested boards from
the last production run and are supposed to run through a checklist that
includes calibrating the RTC ( Real Time Clock ) oscillator.
