In short, with a 2.0 Newton's IR port you can:

-Beam Newton objects to any other model Newton
-Send TV IR codes (ones that use a 38Khz carrier, which is most) using
various third-party applications, like ShowMate:

-Try to do other things, but unless you own some pretty specific Sharp IR
equipment, nothing at all.
