I've still got my MP120, and I have no idea whether or not I'm going to
sell it or not - I've got some good history with that little feller...

I know it's impolite to mention publicly that this made me laugh aloud,
but:
This made me laugh aloud...

Here are the current statistics:

Newtons fixed for myself, family and list members, friends etc:

OMP: 0
MP 100: 0
MP 110: 1 (bad battery contact due to battery leakage)
MP 120: 3 (2 ROM updates, 1 drowned in green tea)
MP 130: 8 (no "repairs", just replacements of display or mainboard)
MP 2x00: 0

Contents of my box labeled "Newton replacement parts"

OMP: 0
MP 100: 0
MP 110: 0
MP 120: 0,5 (remainder of the green tea Newton)
MP 130: 6 (2 suddenly stopped working, 2 shut off immediately
after power on, one shuts off whenever it does something
that needs more current than the idle state)
MP 2x00: 0

I wouldn't call that "rugged"...

In fact by now if people ask me which Newton to buy, I tell them to get
a MP2K and, if they can't afford one, buy a MP120 and be happy with
a MP that doesn't have backlight, but will very likely be their trusty
companion for a long long time.
