Well..
This is sort of a spin off on the "Newbie question:
palm/newt comaprison" thread.

Here is a web site:
http://www.saugus.net/PDA/pdatable.shtml
It compares PDAs, but the thing is that it is QUITE old.
I was wondering if we could create some sort of PDA
comparison table like this one on this site. What PDAs we
would use are up to us.

I would really like to compare :
1) New palms (like the m125 and m505)
2) The Linux PDA
3) New Pocket PC/Windows CE devices
4) The newton 2100 of course, and perhaps a Newton 120 as
well
5) Psion devices like teh revo plus. the series 5mx and
series 7
6) Perhpas include data already included in the above web
page as well on other PDAs (RIP)

All these in areas like in the above web page and a few
more categories of our own choosing. Perhaps have a few
comparison photos of the relative sizes of PDAs (newton vs
palm vs psion vs winCE etc).

Is doable ? ;)

Also, on pocket PC devices, I am a tech junkie and like to
experiment with different platforms. I took a look at text
input and I have to say that Paragon Software which makes
PenReader (HWR recognition software) has a really good
package! It is not as good as the newton's HWR (in the
aspect that you need to make symbols for space and
capitalization) but it is getting there and I am amazed.
Furthermore multilingual text input by writting is very
good with PenReader! I saw a demo they had (live one)
where they demoed cyrillic, greek, and latin base
languages! Pretty good ;)

Last point... short of a miracle, what would it take to
make a better newton and get an OS version 3.0 going ?

AK
