hi Rodney,

you're running out of heap memory. i would suggest freezing all packages you
don't need when you go to connect to internet. the best way i could figure
out (except upgrading DRAM) is to use NewtCase Extension Manager from ICS
(http://www.newts.com/newton/). it lets you to create sets of frozen/thawed
packages and switch between them just with one tap on icon. i created one
set for online and one for offline usage of Newton and was switching as
needed. it saved me lot of hurdle rebooting and reconnecting Newton.
