I guess I will mention this also. Just after I pulled out my ethernet card,
the NPDS Watcher popped up (since it had lost the connection) and was counting
down to reboot it. I stopped it with several seconds left. It was soon after
that that it freaked. I don't THINK it is related at all -- but wanted to
mention it -- just in case...
