Sound like the G4 Titanium Powerbook, have one myself and yes, people tend
to like the looks of it.
(it was partly bought because of this, works very well for presentations)

All of the 'i' applications (iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie etc.) are meant to be
uncomplicated but not very advanced and all do a very good job at it.
If you want to be serious about movie editing check out 'Final Cut Pro' and
yes, that's Mac only of course...
