SimpleMail seems to already do APOP.
Consequently, the only software that could currently benefit from MD5
is NewtsCape for advanced HTTP auth.
If anyone convinces Steve that it would be useful to them, I'll make
a shared lib or I'll just send Steve the NTKC.
PS: what do you call the hash generator?
