i'd second that! ;-)

people -- fact is, i work for a pre-spin-out, would-be startup and i
have close to zero life, let alone time to hack on Gnuton, and thus
its current neglected state.

it is *very* close to running simple apps, but some way off supporting
SimpleMail or Newtscape. it is a very long way off supporting
anything that requires compiled ARM code or C++ modules.

it's currently written in Python, which made it easy to work on, at
the expense of performance. i do have a C++ version of the core of a
newtonscript VM which could be substituted late, but really, the bulk
of the work to get apps running is duplicating the protos from the NOS
ROM.

but i'm always happy for others to contribute ...
