Yes, in fact you need to set up some kind of Internet connection, but as far
as I remember the steps needed were described fairly good in the docs:
After package installation:
1.) you need to add Cadenza information to your Owner Info
-> Add Cadenza Info
-> Add Email
-> Lotus Notes
-> LN name and LN domain
-> LN password
-> Add Cadenza Server
-> IP address of the LN host machine
-> Port: the number you got from Cadenza on your PC (normally 603)
2.) you need to create Internet set up entries for NIE (NIE must be
installed already)
(NIE = Newton Internet Enabler)
-> NIE 2.0 serial connection to server: tap NEW generic template serial
-> enter name for the set up
-> protocol: PPP
-> Configuration: Server
-> ignore User ID and Password setting options
-> when closing, disconnect: select immediately
tap done
tap Add advanced settings
-> port -> serial, Data rate -> 19200
-> parity -> none, Stop bits -> 1
-> hardware flow control -> uncheck (do not use hardware flow control)
tap X to close the slip
Start the Cadenza server application on the PC (CDZMON.EXE) then you can tap
on "Cadenza Connect" on your Newt. You should see some info about the
connection process and data flow on the Cadenza monitor window on the Server
machine.
