No, No, No, No, No!!!
Quit right now with all this psudoscience!

You are mixing facts and pure conjecture and frightening the kids!
How is a ~33% speed hike an 'insignificant improvement'?
Hey, if you think it will hurt it, don't do it! Simple.
Software modifications/improvements do not present the same

Oh, you would be surprised what mischief an errant program call can do!

For the record:
Overclocking win NOT stress, destroy, disable or in any way compromise
the processor (or any other part) in the Newton. The parts are initially
made
to do this anyway. The only crapshoot is how close your particular chip is
to the margin. YMMV as far as this is concerned and is the root cause of
why some will be able to run @ 5MHz and beyond and others can only
use 4.912Mhz crystals.
My main fear, (and the reason for this reply) is that some well intentioned
information
providers have the propensity to spout psudo-truth from varied sources and
this BECOMES the truth for the less technical audience.
Everyone's opinion is important but without facts it's just that; an
opinion.
I do have the facts.

PCBman
