Getting to the edge of my knowledge too but I know that when I am doing about
85mph the tach is at about 3200 rpm. redline isn't until about 6400 rpm. My
Passat is only a 5-speed. I believe they get a 6-speed in Europe. That would
make a big difference on how hard the engine is working as well. Even so, I
still have a lot of room on the Tach.
