[NTLK] Syncing TimeReporter info w/ a Mac

Does anyone have any experience whatsoever with syncing TimeReporter on a
Newton via serial to an older Mac? Everytime I try to do this on my
PowerBook 1400 with the TR DataTool I get an error message saying I can't
connect, both with AppleTalk turned on and without. What am I misssing
here?
