I would vote for PC, Outlook and serial connection. PC and OL because a lot
of people have it but not sure that this is the case on this list since so
many people are Apple-oriented. Serial connection because not everyone has
a LAN at home or a NIC on their PC.

Subject: [NTLK] Synching - Was [All sorts of stuff]

I think we need to get down the requirements here. I'm willing to put some
effort in here. I reckon I could do a full Windows - Outlook Synch without
too much trouble. At the moment however I don't know what the requirements
are. What we need to know is: -

1. What OS are people running (Windows or Mac OS (9 or X - although I'd be
reluctant to write any OS 9 stuff) )
2. Do you want a synch (like Palm has), one way transfer, either way
transfer
3. Which bits i.e. notes, calendar, contacts, email etc.
4. What desktop PIM?
5. What sort of connection i.e. serial dock or Ethernet
others that I can't think of right now.

How many people would be willing to pay for it and how much? This last
detail would determine how much time I could spend on it. I'll probably
write something anyway just for my own use. however, what I want and what
everyone else wants might not be quite the same thing.

I'd be interested in collaborating with people on this as my time is
limited.

Brad
