[NTLK] dead MP100

Hi

I have a Newton MP100 that was running fine until today. I turned it on and
it flashed and went blank. Nothing happens on repeated tries of using the on
switch. If I hold down the on switch I get the message do you want to clear
all data etc.

I checked the both the backup and regular batteries and they seem to have
enough juice.

What gives? I remember seeing an article on this but for the life of me I
can't find it again.

Please help.
