Well, I'm not using earth(stink) but the premise is
basically the same.
You need to run some kind of proxy server on the
machine that is connected to the internet. This
machine is usually connected to a router/modem through
a NIC. You would add a second NIC to this machine and
hook this up to a hub. You would then connect the
Newton to the hub and viola...you have internet for
your Newt.
My personal experience has been with JanaProx. This is
a freeware product for windows machines (95 and
higher) that offers mail serving and proxying. Plus
it's free and the author is very good about answering
questions (if you don't mind his broken english (he's
German)
