Hello Newtoneers,
I have two Newts here. One is a 2100 that is in great shape, except it
has occasional screen alignment problems and the contrast likes to
adjust itself randomly from time to time. The other is an un-upgraded
2000 that is not in as good shape, but has no screen-related problems as
far as I can tell.
Would swapping the screens between the 2000 and 2100 work, and fix my
alignment / contrast problems on the 2100? Is it easy to do? (I've
torn down the 2100 before, enough to have cleaned the display ribbon
cable contacts, with no apparent improvement.)
(Screen-swapping seems like it has come up before on the list, but I
searched the last 10,000 or so messages for 'screen' and didn't find
anything that looked relevant.)
Thanks guys,
Steven
